Dasavatharam!

Dasavatharam, the long waited movie of Kamal Hasan is finally out in screens. To the much created hype, the movie hardly fulfilled anybody's expectations. Definitely there was no justice done to the amount of money spent for the movie. If you have watched any Shankar movie, the audience really feels the impact of a real good movie. However, not in the case of this one, where this being the costliest Indian movie ever made, has barely managed to even sink in. The first 3 mintues cost the producers 3 crores.. I hardly remember what was shown in the first 3 minutes.. The movie was simply a technical masterpiece with no real value to anything done with or in the movie. However, inspite of all the cons mentioned, Kamal has as usual showed immense variation in portrayal of his characters and hey my father acted as the heroin Asin's father. He's really happy.. finally something good is happening for him.. I am really happy for him. So, even though I give Dasavatharam 5/10, I pray the movie to be a hit :-)

Back Again!!

I am back again after a while :-) Just was talkin to one of my friends.. who was cribbing that I had stopped bloggin.. as though that was the thing on the earth which needed most attention.. anyways just wanted to stop by and say hi to this space.. I am in office and it's another friday.. it's infact 8:36 PM, yes.. I am one of those who has no life.. just simply staring at empty space.. its nice and quiet actually at this time of the hour and the mind is thinking about 100 different things about people with whom I am working with.. how the place feels when they are here.. how each and every indivudual is such a nice person, but when it's comes to a question of proving one's ability it's altogether a different story, the amount of competition that happens is really really enormous.. sometimes thinking about the whole thing philosophically, don't know for what reason each and every one of us running hard and towards what?? money.. more money?? Sad it is, hoping to find peace soon!! Om Om Om :-)

Bharathiyar Songs

Have been listening to Bharathiyar songs offlate... the amount of force his the poetry is amazing.. The depth of each word is so intense.. Can very rightly understand what kind of impact it would have had on people at that time..

Team Outing

It has been happening much regularly now.. Team Outing for lunch.. I have a real nice team with whom I am working with.. though everyone unanimously agree that the work sucks.. we among ourselves have great togetherness once we are out of the office.. We have begun to notice this change all the more with the team outings which have been happening often so regular now, like, for a period of once in a month.. But sadly these team lunches have been happening on the occasion of sending off some people for good.. (the happy part being they are really willing to leave.. :) Yesterday the team had to been together to a 100% pure veg restuarant 'Udipi Cafe' which is located in a highway Route 46 and the crowd which consisted of some Chinese ppl who knew food consisted only of meat alone.. were simply amazed by the variety that Vegetarian food could offer.. All of us had such a nice time yesterday and there were some 'Vote of Thanks' speech given n all.. Everybody did wish that we should capture this nice moment and I being the youngest in the team just did that.. :))

American Sunday!!

Never had the faintest idea that I would be spending Sundays in Uncle Sam's land cooking the first thing in the morning :) But sadly yes.. that has become the state of mine.. But I do enjoy cooking in a way.. and yeah definitely the eating part I relish more :) Prepared some nice Aloo sabji and some Mulaangi Sambar.. Something was still amiss in that.. still haven't figured out what.. But yeah ppl do tell me that I make killer sambar.. (too much bragin here I suppose :) But well I did go home this time and tasted my mom's sambar and then I realised whether whatever I did prepare.. Was it Sambar at all??

Music

Music is divine.. I have always known it.. But actually been knowing the real meaning for the last 3-4 years.. I have never been able to write abt music which has been so much of a let out for me especially for the last one and half years.. be it happy, sad, angry, thoughtful.. or any mood of mine.. I could so so realte to a particular kind of music I listen to.. But sadly for my folks (my mom,dad and sis..) I really love Ghazals.. though hopeless in understanding Urdu.. Ghazals are my real favorite music which I immediately switch on to, when I am on my own.. (generally there are very few people around me who appreciate ghazals.. ) I think the real love for ghazals started way way back when I was very small and used to sleep off on my father's belly listening to him sing Ghulam Ali's ghazals for me . I can still remember the exact words(though don't know what they mean.. :) of the ghazals he used to sing for me.. I feel so happy and light.. But yes, there was a period of transition when I was in college, I started enjoying Rock bands like G n R, Metallica n Def Lepard.. around 3 years ago, a friend of mine introduced me to a lot of pop and trance music.. which again I started to appreciate and fall in love with.. The Bhajans started happening around 2 years back and my main motivation being my father n sis.. they slowly started to encourage n teach.. I so so much miss those Sunday tea sessions during when both my father n sis in the process of teaching me sing songs.. end up singing lodsa songs for 3 to 4 hrs.. :) Finally I realised the joy of singing together in a group.. it is simply unexplainable.. the amount of co-ordination is really mind blowing.. Anyways to sum it all.. be it Rock, Pop, Trance, Ghazals or Bhajans.. Music is so fresh as ever and I can bet for centuries to come its gonna be stay as green as ever.. :)
